Another product of Harare's Churchill High School and Takashinga Club, Maruma is a young and lanky offspin bowler who was one of the most outstanding wicket-takers in the Logan Cup, virtually spinning Easterns province to the Cup with Prosper Utseya. For a young player still working on his body intensity, he showed remarkable stamina bowling long spells in the competition, and his senior teammates feared he would break down. He is also a useful batsman down the order who, inspite his frame, likes to hit hard. He can be a frustrating presence down the order when the opposition think they have cleaned-up the tail. Steven Price August 2007
