Amit Jaggernauth, the offspinner, claimed career-best figures of 7 for 45 to lead Trinidad to an emphatic 250-run win over Barbados at the Guaraca Park. Trinidad have now booked their spot for the Carib Beer Challenge from April 24-28, when they will defend their title against Carib Beer Cup winners Jamaica.

Set an unlikely 452 to win, Barbados began aggressively: openers Dale Richards and Jason Hughes (41) scoring 97 runs off 15.2 overs. Richards brought up his half-century by striking Jaggernauth beyond square leg, but Haynes was caught at the square-leg boundary off left-arm spinner Dave Mohammed at the stroke of lunch.

After lunch, Kevin Stoute fell without scoring to Jaggernauth, before the players went off the field for half-an-hour due to rain. Richards was dismissed after the resumption when he was caught by Richard Kelly off Jaggernauth for a 69-ball 71 that included 11 fours and two sixes. The rest of the Barbados batsmen had no answers against Jaggernauth as they lost their last eight wickets for the addition of 67 runs. Jaggernauth's seven wickets in the innings ensured that he finished with match figures of 10 for 75. The Man-of-the-Match award, though, went to Lendl Simmons for his 126 in the first innings.

Ealier, Trinidad added 40 runs to their overnight score of 175 for 6 before declaring at 215 for 9. Stoute added to his four wickets from the third day to finish with 6 for 64.

Persistent rain dashed Leeward Islands' hopes of bowling out CCC, who were 99 for 2 requiring a further 458 runs to win, as the final day's play was washed out. Meanwhile, Kieran Powell, who was making his first-class debut, was named Man of the Match for his scores of 85 and 99.

Guyana 29 for 1 and 396 trail Windward Islands 467 (Sebastien 133) by 42 runs

Liam Sebastien's 133, his maiden first-class hundred, enabled Windward Islands to post 467 and claim first-innings points against Guyana in Provindence. Guyana were 29 for 1 at the end of the third day's play.

Resuming on their overnight score of 267 for 3, Windwards lost two wickets for the addition of 10 runs as Esuan Crandon dismissed Darren Sammy for 65 and Donwell Hector for no score. But Sebastien, resuming on 42, took the score to 311 with Rawl Lewis, before Lewis was dismissed for 18. Windwards then lost Lyndon James, trapped by part-time legspinner Sewnarine Chattergoon for a duck as they went into lunch at 312 for 7.

After the interval, Sebastien found support from Mervin Matthew (39), with whom he added 81 for the eight wicket, before he reached his hundred off 274 balls. Sebastien, though, retired hurt immediately after the first-innings points were claimed, before returning to frustrate Guyana by adding 39 for the last wicket with Shane Shillingford (18*).

Interestingly, Guyana were forced to field with 10 players in the morning session and 75 minutes into the post-lunch session as the Windwards management refused to allow a substitute for Shivnarine Chanderpaul. Chanderpaul had left after the first day's play to attend a function organised by the West Indies Players' Association on Sunday.
