Barbados 15 for 4 (Haynes 6*, Hinds 1*, Bennett 4-9) trail Combined Campuses and Colleges 202 (Reifer 70, Parris 52, Collins 4-30, Best 4-37) by 187 runs
Scorecard

Fourteen wickets tumbled on a dramatic opening day at the Three Ws Oval as Barbados crashed to 15 for 4 at the close after their star-studded attack dismissed Combined Campuses and Colleges for 202. Jason Bennett ripped out four of Barbados's top order and the home side are under severe pressure with Ryan Hinds and Dwayne Smith both nursing injuries. Most of the day had gone to plan for Barbados as Pedro Collins, recently returned from South Africa, and Tino Best shared eight wickets. Collins took the first four as CCC slumped to 17 for 4 before a 123-run stand between Floyd Reifer and Nekoli Parris although Reifer was handed to lives. Best then extracted the middle order, but he needed some luck for the breakthrough with Parris out in strange circumstances, stumped as he lingered out of his crease against Best.

Trinidad and Tobago 166 for 4 (Emrit 49*, Mohammad 38*) v Leeward Islands
Scorecard

Brian Lara suffered a fractured arm against the Leeward Islands in St Maarten but Trinidad and Tobago fought back to share the honours. Lara had struck Lionel Baker to the cover boundary but he was hit on the arm a few balls later and retired hurt. Subsequent x-rays showed the seriousness of the injury and he is unlikely to take any further part in the match. Lara's replacement Darren Bravo, brother of Dwayne lasted just one ball as T&T limped to 87 for 4 but Rayad Emrit and Gibran Mohammed added an unbroken 79 to haul their side back into contention.

Jamaica 56 for 3 (Hinds 37*, Nash 4*) trail Guyana 171 (Lawson 5-41) by 115 runs
Scorecard

Jermaine Lawson took five wickets as Guyana struggled to 171 on the first day at Sabina Park but the visitors struck back with three late wickets. None of the Guyana batsmen could do better than Narsinghe Deonarine's 39 as they failed to build any significant partnerships. Useful efforts from Darwin Christian (34) and Zaheer Mohammed (26) lifted them over 150 after being 90 for 6 before Lawson wrapped up the innings. However, both Jamaica openers - Xavier Marshall and Donovan Pagon - fell for ducks before Wavell Hinds brought some calm to proceedings.
