Profile
Kurt Wilkinson was selected for the one-day squad against South Africa in 2003-04 as a replacement for the injured Wavell Hinds. A top-order batsman who can open, Wilkinson was rewarded for a string of good performances for Barbados in the Carib Beer Cup, culminating in a century against Guyana in 2003-04. Wilkinson worked his way to the top through the ranks. After impressing with the Barbados Under-19 team in 1999, he was selected for the national U-19 to tour Sri Lanka in 2000. Next stop was the West Indies B team in 2001, and he was also among the first group of players to attend the academy in Grenada. Freddie Auld
