Profile
For much of his career the understudy to Keith Piper at Edgbaston, but Frost never let anyone down when he found a place in the first eleven. A tidy wicketkeeper - who plays in glasses - and a solid batsman, he has bailed Warwickshire out of plenty of holes with his doughty batting. He called time on his career towards the end of the 2006 season when injuries began to occur and Warwickshire signed Tim Ambrose, but returned from retirement when Ambrose himself was called into the England squad in 2008. It proved to be an inspired comeback, which culminated in a career-best 242 not out against Essex at Chelmsford.
Andrew McGlashan September 2008
