Profile
Stuart Meaker, a fast bowler and middle-order batsman, came to England with his mother and sisters in 2001 and was educated at Cranleigh Prep School and then Cranleigh School where he was in the 1st XI for five years as well as working his way through the Surrey age groups. In 2003 he won the Daily Telegraph fast bowling award, the Channel 4 outstanding team player award and the AA Thompson fielding award. He finished his school career by winning the EW Swanton cricket prize and within a fortnight of leaving he won his England Under-19 call-up, having played some pre-season friendlies for Surrey. And in the close season he was signed on a one-year contract for Surrey in 2008, before jetting off to Malaysia as part of England's Under-19 World Cup squad.
