New Zealand A 8 for 250 (Broom 66) beat Australian Academy 7 for 249 (Finch 64, McCullum 4-41) by 2 wickets

Neil Broom's half-century and a wasteful Australian Academy bowling effort led to New Zealand A overcoming their latest challenge in the Emerging Players Tournament. The success was New Zealand's seventh of the series and they had to work hard for it after Nathan McCullum's four wickets helped limit the hosts to 7 for 249 at Allan Border Field.

New Zealand's top four all made starts but it was Broom who anchored the innings with a patient 66 off 109 balls. He was the final batsman to be dismissed three runs short of the target, falling to Grant Sullivan, and his lower-order team-mates sealed the win with eight balls to spare.

Australia's bowlers were generous in delivering 15 wides and five no-balls to the total. Aaron Finch's 64 and Moises Henriques' 42 gave the Academy a strong push at the top of the innings and important contributions came from the middle order, but it wasn't enough to stop New Zealand's unbeaten run.

South Africa Emerging Players 6 for 319 (Bodi 124, Petersen 90, Duminy 74) beat Karnataka State Cricket Association XI 9 for 172 (Raghu 59) by 147 runs

Gulam Bodi struck a run-a-ball 124 as South Africa Emerging Players posted 6 for 319 to secure a dominant win over Karnataka State Cricket Association XI at Sandgate-Redcliffe. South Africa's batsmen were almost unstoppable, with Bodi and Alviro Petersen (90) opening with a 143-run stand before JP Duminy entered to slam 74 off 51 balls, including five fours and three sixes.

C Raghu was the top scorer in the reply with 59, but only four other batsmen reached double figures. Vernon Philander and Lennox Lonwabo Tsotsobe earned two wickets as Karnataka reached 9 for 172 in 50 overs.
