Note Easily accessible from the town, and Queenstown International airport is nearby, too
The Queenstown Events Centre is bordered by farmland and nestles in the foothills of the stunning mountain range, The Remarkables. They are aptly named, and the ground is situated in a very picturesque area, near Lake Wakatipu.
The ground held its first international in 2003, just two years after becoming a first-class venue. There are no plans to hold Tests there just yet, as the facilities aren't quite up to scratch, but discussions are being held about the possibility.
The centre itself holds events such as dinners, film shoots and concerts, including acts such as international icon Joe Cocker, Jimmy Barnes and Little River Band.
