Profile
Ben Brown is a promising wicketkeeper-batsman who plays for Sussex, including at the Academy. He is also in the England Under-19s, making his debut in their 2006- 07 tour of Malaysia series and featured also against Pakistan Under-19 the following summer. His first-class debut came against Sri Lanka A in the same season, when he scored 46 off 25 balls. He finished at Ardingly College this summer. Very highly rated, he plays his cricket at Eastbourne and scores runs for fun in that league. His glovework is very sharp, and has very good hands, getting himself into the right position to take the ball, too. He cracked an unbeaten 93 at No.7 for England Under-19s against Pakistan, and was selected for the subsequent Under-19 World Cup. Cricinfo staff February 2008
