Bowler shot with airgun during match

Gloucestershire seamer Alistair Bressington was shot with an airgun during a
second team match at the County Ground in Bristol on Wednesday.
Bressington, 21, was bowling for the hosts shortly before the tea interval when shots were fired from the car park at the ground.
He was not seriously hurt, but the players left the field while the police
were called. The assailant fled, and the players resumed the match, with
Bressington on the field, after tea.
Gloucestershire chief executive Tom Richardson said that the club was taking
the incident very seriously. "It may only be a little air pellet but if it
had hit someone in the eye it could have been extremely dangerous," he told
the Bristol Evening Post.
The match resumed on Thursday, with Bressington able to take the field.
The youngster has a summer contract with the club, which he hopes will be
extended at the end of the year.
