Profile
Born in Newcastle and educated at Durham School, Gordon Muchall made his
first-class debut for the Durham in 2002, a year when the the make-up of the
first team was constantly disrupted by injuries. Previously a member of two
England Under-19 tours, he was in the first intake of England's Academy, which went to Australia under the guidance of Rod Marsh in 2002-03. He topped the Durham averages in 2004, and was awarded his county cap in 2005. Sam Collins September 2006
