Profile
Nicknamed 'Star', Adam Polkinghorne is an aggressive allrounder who has won the Tasmanian grade competition's Player of the Year award four times since moving from South Australia in 2000. However, he has been unable to transfer his club results to the domestic scene, and while he has was for a time a regular in the one-day side he has played only two first-class matches. A right-arm medium-pacer and a big-hitting left-hander, Polkinghorne's state outings were limited to three Twenty20 games last summer. Cricinfo staff July 2007
