Fixed Odds: 2008 Test series - England v New Zealand

England miss their chance

The sun finally came out at Lord's on Sunday but England mised their queue, managing only to make a lead of 42 over New Zealand on first innings. All but two of that lead was wiped out late in the day and unless the tourists have one almighty collapse on Monday morning, the draw is absolutely nailed on.

Michael Vaughan's hundred was the brightspot for England but with just one day to go it will take something earthshattering to prevent the two sides from heading to the second Test anything other than level at 0-0.

The draw is now 1/20 (1.05) with bet365, who make England 17/2 and New Zealand 50/1.

Jamie How, who has 26 runs to his name, is 5/6 to make 48 or more, while Aaron Redmond, who has 14, is the same price to get to 32 or better.

Stranger things must have happened somewhere in Test history, but I can't think of any more than if there is anything other than a draw come Monday night.

Cambers' Call - already advised England to beat New Zealand in 1st Test - 4/5 bet365 (from 4/6)
